Flashy new workplace for USB!

USB Flashdrive is the UK’s leading supplier of promotional USBs. We were delighted to have been approached by them to convert a 300 square metre warehouse in Windsor into a trendy, industrial workspace to house their busy team.

Timescales were customarily tight and the brief was ‘evolving’. USB wanted to create a functional, modern, collaborative space which is conducive to their fast-moving business.
In order to create the required ‘wow’ factor we removed an existing mezzanine floor area to open up the space. Air conditioning units and ducting were left exposed and high bay lighting added to the raw, industrial, open plan area. Bench desking and mesh seating create the modern team working set up which is serviced by a gloss kitchen/tea point.

The reception area too is suitably quirky with a mosaic feature wall and an informal, bespoke collaboration area. Upstairs we reconfigured existing partitioning to create a formal meeting room and a separate working area.

After carpet, decoration and power & data throughout the final result is befitting of this forward thinking, modern-working company and we are so happy that they are happy too!

“We decided that for the next chapter in our company’s journey that we didn’t want the traditional suspended ceiling, blue carpet and white partitioned look. Instead, we decided we would refurbish a warehouse unit and turn it into an open plan, industrial-themed working space comprising meeting areas and an open plan kitchen.
Our deadline was tight, our expectations were high and our brief was very much a work in progress. From concept planning right up to the final day of moving, we found Metric’s advice, service and support to be invaluable.
On projects like this where the brief evolves, deadlines are moved and minds are changed it’s vital to have a fit out company that is as adaptable and they are patient!
The end result exceeded our expectations and I’d have no issues recommending Metric to anyone.” Chris Love, Managing Director, USB Flashdrive.
