Metric knocks Lowbrook for six!

Lowbrook Academy’s year 6 pupils are the lucky recipients of a newly configured classroom space within their stunning cricket pavilion.

The brief was to design an innovative and inspirational space accommodating a number of ‘task areas’. The specific task areas include a teacher’s area, storage area, reading corner, learning zone, teaching wall and indoor and outdoor social spaces.

The space blends seamlessly providing teachers and pupils with a learning environment that actually works!

In keeping with the pavilion feel we added natural wood furniture and deck chair stripes to give it that outdoor/indoor vibe. Overall the eclectic mix of colour finishes and quirky storage give it a modern yet fun atmosphere.

What’s more, it is functional! By incorporating reconfigurable furniture and flexible breakout seating space can be adapted to facilitate just about any classroom event imaginable.

As a finishing touch, we adapted Lowbrook’s apple logo and incorporated a cricket ball which we then used on glass manifestations.

Everything was installed in just one day ready for the pupils on their return in 2016! We wish the teachers and pupils hours of fun and games in this fantastic learning environment!!
