Help us to make Alfie’s Christmas Wish come true!

Tis the season of giving!
So, in keeping with the spirit of Christmas, we are supporting local boy Alfie Nelson in his quest to give as many gifts as possible to poorly children who find themselves in hospital over Christmas this year.

Alfie is a very special little boy who, following his own experience in hospital, launched his Christmas appeal two years ago and it has gone from strength to strength raising an amazing 684 presents last year. This year we want to make it our mission to help Alfie smash that total and spread a whole lot more Christmas cheer to children who find themselves in Wexham Park Hospital, Children’s Ward, Southampton Hospital, Ocean Ward and John Radcliffe Children’s Hospital.

A little bit about Alfie in his mother Louise’s words:

“Alfie was born 5 1/2 weeks prematurely weighing just over 4lb. He suffered a double hernia which required emergency surgery at just 7 weeks old .
Our lives were turned upside down at just 10 weeks old when Alfie contracted Meningococcal septicaemia 😪 our little warrior fought for his life for a 3rd time in such a short space. From being prem and the Meningitis he was left with a serious life threatening heart condition. This affects Alfie daily , he spends so much time in hospital , having heart surgery and other complications life is very hard for him .
In 2016 Alfie was in hospital just before Christmas when he began to get uptight and ask me what happens to the children in hospital over Christmas, do they get presents? He then told me he wanted to help them ~ a little boy suffering himself but putting other children before himself! So in 2016 we started ‘Alfie’s Christmas wish ‘ and raised an amazing 250 donations of presents for Children in hospital over Christmas.”

So, how can you help? It has been made so easy for you! Alfie’s Mum, Louise has devised a ‘wish list’ of gifts for children of all ages (from babies – 18 years old) and at all price points.
