Metric’s annual golf day was once again a great success! The weather was kind to us and we were blessed with a perfect day to play 18 holes.
Harleyford Golf Club was the perfect venue and host for the event! The staff were great and nothing was too much trouble. Course conditions were favourable, the greens were like lightning despite the fairways still suffering a bit from the summer meltdown.
So the scene was set for 32 players to battle it out for out for the Barry Want Trophy. It was a hard-fought competition in which we saw some fantastic golf over the course of the day. This year’s worthy winners were:
1st place – Gary Andrews with a magnificent 38 points playing off only 8!
2nd place – Charles Belm with 37 points
3rd place – Neil Griffiths with 36 points
Other prices were: ‘Nearest the pins’ – Keith Palmer Nigel Illman Andy Parker & Gary Andrews
Longest drive – Keith Palmer
Huge congratualtions to all the winners and thanks to everyone who made it another memorable day!
