Metric would like to extend a huge thank you to everybody that came to our annual golf day last Friday. I think that it is true to say that weather-wise it couldn’t have been better! Beautiful Harleyford Golf Club didn’t disappoint either! After a hearty breakfast we teed off in the glorious sunshine with temperatures reaching into the high 20’s. It was a welcome sight to see the girls in the buggy bringing us cold beers and although some might still be feeling a little tender from over-exposure (Mike Jones remember your sun cream next year!) most of us returned unscathed to clubhouse to enjoy a further few beers on the terrace before dinner!

Overall winner of the Barry Want Trophy this year was Richard Clark. Second place went to Steve Day and third to Sam Harris. Nearest to the pin were Vince Gardiner and Lol Hatcher and winner of Longest Drive was Andy Parker! Winning team was Richard Clark, Mike Jones, Mark Hart and Jess Palmer.
Well done everybody – look forward to taking you all on again next year!
Barry Wickington gets a special mention again this year for his particularly bad language! I hear that the air was blue and that his cussing could be heard far and wide!
