The manufacture of the ‘do’ task chair is made with less material, fewer parts and fewer product miles than ever before. The result is a chair with real invention; in the materials that have been used, the way it is assembled and transported and the performance it delivers.
In order to reduce the environmental impact of the chair, the component parts are all manufactured local to their factory in South Wales – 45% are made within just 10 miles. The simplification of the chair’s supply and assembly means that a partially assembled chair can be shipped in around half the size of a typical chair box, its assembly can be completed in less than two minutes and with the use of a single allen key. The size of the item means that they are able to maximise their load capacity and fuel economy when transported.
It doesn’t end there and the chair delivers too. Obviously, people come in all shapes & sizes and with shared work-spaces becoming increasingly common, the need for simple, adaptable seating is more important than ever. This office chair has a user-centered design and a weight balancing mechanism meaning there’s no longer a multitude of knobs & levers to find and interpret while the range of adjustment is increased!
