Harrods goes shopping for blinds at Metric

harrods.jpg
Generally it’s customers that go shopping for blinds at Harrods but when the world’s most famous store needed blinds for their main display window, they came to Metric, because we don’t just sell office furniture!
The iconic store on Brompton Road in Knightbridge, which opened in 1849, needed blinds to obscure its famous window displays from public view whilst they were being redressed. Due to the size of a number of the main front windows of the store, the blinds needed to be easy for staff to operate so Metric made and supplied a seris of motorised blinds operated via a 240v mains key switch. Smaller and easier to manoeuvre blinds are being operated using a crank handle.
Supplying blinds to businesses and homes is now a core part of Metric’s fast-growing total office interiors solution.
Other projects successfully completed by Metric have included:
_ Metric Blinds has been chosed by a leading provider of facilities maintenance to be their main contractor for blinds and shading solutions and our first assignment was to produce a made-to-measure, circular aluminium venetian blind that fitted above the trading floor of a majoe city bank in Canary Wharf.
– In Croydon, Metric Blinds won a contract to fit stylish vertical blinds into each of the apartments in the stunning new ‘Altitude 25’ landmark development. Part of Croydon’s £3.5 billion regeneration programme, ‘Altitude 25’ features 1,2 and 3 bedroom apartments and penthouses over 25 storeys of luxury living.
